Out the door and straight up the mountain path to
> O' CEBREIRO,  notice the ' in the name, it is from the Celtic influence in this reaction of Spain.  As we ascended this beautiful mountain path we were amazed at the spectacular views of the countryside.  Beautiful alpine bridges spanned the valleys.  We have crossed into the province of Galicia.  Here we are made aware of the Celtic influences evident here. In our first stop at a local bar the background music was filled with fiddle, bagpipe and drum music so familiar in Ireland and of course Newfoundland. Shopping in local gift shops I could purchase numerous items with Celtic motifs on them.  The food here is very traditional to the reagon such as a Gallician Soup of vegetables and potatoes simply seasoned and Pulpo Galligio a stewed Octopus and tomato specialty.  Very simply prepared and seasoned meals.
> Our night was spent in a provincially run albergue. This meant a strictly run lodging with rather limited personnel privacy. Simply put the restroom facility lacked personal privacy. No shower curtains nor seats on the toilets.  As mentioned previously hard economic times are very evident in certain provinces in Spain.
