Set off this morning from downtown Leon, very old beautiful Spanish city, to get to Villar de Mazarife. Typical small village along the Camino. One main street leading to the village plaza. Stopped in the Grocery Store picked up tooth paste, fruits, chocolates, HALLS cough drops, and believe it or not, postage stamps! One stop shopping like Canadian Tire:-) I've gotten a sore throat along the way must be from the masses in the big city. Hike today was only about 20 km very short considering our past progress. Only had to speed up to separate ourselves from the crowd behind us. We like the peace and quite of the Camino to reflect! Believe that? Dinner tonight with our fellow pilgrims will include: Pumpkin Soup, Vegetable Paella and Chocolate Crepes...good thing will be on the Camino in the morning. By the way the Cervesa and Vino Tin to is the fuel of the Camino.
