> at 1330 metres. Villafranca del Bierzo is rather like an Alpine village,
> plenty of gift shops, restaurants, and the usual bars. What is really
> unusual is the Albergue we are staying at. We had the impression that we
> were stepping back in time as we entered and were greeted by our
> hospitalero, who could of walked off the stage of Easy Rider! We have
> arrived in the Hippy Shangala of the Camino...what a trip. Lots of
> younger pilgrims hanging around and a festive feel in the air. We never
> expected so many younger pilgrims along the way. As can be expected as
> the night progressed us more seasoned pilgrims reached for our earplugs to
> easy our sleep:-)
